I've talked to Pinchbeck several times about Crowley and his dismissive. I heard him speak last weekend at the "New Living Expo" in SF on his whole 2012 schitk. He raised the point regarding the new age and mysticism that we "need to have a systemic way to evaluate spiritual claims with critical thinking and skepticism." I told him there was a system about that called Scientific Illuminism created by Crowley and he quickly said he "liked Steiner better because Crowley hurt alot of people..." It's funny because at the end of his book 2012 he mentions "Teitan/Cheitan and 666" as the heralds of a possible new age.

The dude is dancing around the New Aeon and Thelemic ideals, but refuses to give Crowley his due.

Quite possibly the most straight forward and easily read material on Crowley, Thelema, and the E.G.C. that I have come across to date.

This would be something that I would give to my mother, for example, who knows nothing of Thelema and is a spiritual skeptic to boot. The piece is uncomplicated and full of facts as I understand them. A nice article.

There are now thousands of active members organized in over sixteen different countries worldwide.

Small correction: we are presently organized (i.e. have local bodies) in 30 countries; we have active initiates in 48 countries.
